Great now all I have to do is get home and hope my computer is good enough. If it fails me again I WILL destroy it. icon_frown

Hate to put a downer on ya son, but it's pretty harsh...

See my other posts for full details, best not post the same thing three times.

i just ran it twice

LOW = 2895 score
HIGH = 2094 score

running on Windows 7 64bit with Core2Duo E8400 @ 3.0GHz, 4GB ram and a nvidia geforce GTX260. the benchmark ran very smooth in both options, i had some framedrops (down to 25fps or something like that) when running "high" but overall very smooth.

last words: AWESOME GRAPHICS!

Youtube vids of benchmark scores have been uploaded by some people.
Highest so far I've seen was almost 5k. Some claimed to have seen up to 8k on some forums.
Comments seem to suggest the benchmark was more cpu intensive than gpu as they compared similar speced systems with only changes in cpu and noticed higher score difference.
Laptop users with low speed multi-core cpus will probably suffer around 30fps even if they have the best mobile gpus.

find a directX 9 web updater and run it, you are probably running Win Vista or Win 7 which you have to manually update directx9 components.
you can find a directx9 web updater on microsofts homepage, but it requires you to validate your windows version.

doesn't surprise me that a lot of people get way higher scores than mine, my system is almost 2 years old and yet i run the benchmark very smoothly, i believe my average fps was around 30-40.

I got low 2k QQ makes me sad but i don't think the bench mark works correctly.
My cores are over clocked yet it rates it at 2.53. I also think the benchmark
is only using one and leaving your multi core processor to eat crap

Yeah something if definately up with the benchmark. I wouldn't mind betting that anyone with 2000+ will probably be able to run FFXI on standard settings regardless of what that thing says.

i have ran the benchmark multiple times and have consistently gotten right around 4.4k.(on medium setting. high setting is lower) I7 @2.7 with 6megs of ram and also using Radeon HD 5770. i dont know if this makes a difference but i ran it with task manager up and 4 of my cores are raised and showing some activity.

I'm getting about 1k each time but my computer is fairly new and has the specs for the game, i know it does. I don't think the Benchmark is accurate for all computers.
