Hmm 761..that is definitely not good...

I have Vista home premium on a year old dell studio 1555 laptop with an intel core 2 duo cpu 2.4 ghz, 4gb of ram, 130 gb free space, and a 64 bit os. My graphics card is an ati mobility radeon hd 4570 and all my drivers are up to date. anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how i could fix it? i REALLY wanna play this game. my internet connection has been kinda awful lately so perhaps that is contributing..

I would like to direct you to a wonderful discussion in the General Discussion folder entitled "benchmark." There is a lot of great talk about the benchmark and what could be affecting scores, as well as our speculations of actual gameplay versus what that program says.

I would also agree that your OS could be contributing, not to mention the limiting factors instilled by playing on a laptop. There are also threads about how to go about playing on a laptop, how to play on your computer using a PS3, and many others. General is a great place to check out.

(Sorry I am not linking it all)

why is everyone british? xD

Because we're the greatest seafaring nation in the world. Rule Britannia!

When Britain first, at heaven's command,
Arose from out the azure main,
Arose, arose, arose from out the a-azure main,
This was the charter, the charter of the land,
And guardian angels sang this strain:

Rule Britania!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.

*ahem*

And you get the idea with that...

Got 1690 in high setting.

It doesn't make any sense. I didn't see any shuttering or slowdown during the scenes and yet the score is 'barely playable' according to SE.

Also my hardware is enough to run Bad company 2 and Call of Duty 6 with full option with above 60fps.

I know what you're saying. The benchmark scores seem to be mainly a judgment on your worth as a person rather than an accurate prediction of how you will run FFXIV. Or something. ^_~

There is a more accurate benchmark than this, in fact a 100% accurate one.

It's called wait another sixty-whatever days and buy FFXIV. ;)

I'm equally confused because I got just a shy over 2k on high, and there were visable shuttering (no slowdowns though), and I can get 4k on low. Wish they made their benchmark a little more representative of their final product, but oh well I guess it's only important to know if you can run it or not.

I scored about 1000, but I think low scores aren't necessarily bad unless your pc specs don't meet the minimum requirements. When is the new benchmark being released?

I got 912, and I can run the beta just fine. You'll be ok there...
