I'm really happy they have info about Gridania now. Looks like its great for cloth crafters and has an areana so I'm choosing it. Weaving and murdering people are my two favorite pastimes.

3 months? Won't everyone be able to get in the open beta soon ?

Considering we're only three months from launch and the closed beta has only just started, I think it's safe to assume the closest we'll get to an open beta is the launch itself.

Honestly I'm fine with the release being an open beta type. Only because thats when they'll really be able to test the game out for server stress and game bugs. Not to mention almost every game at launch isn't the greatest and thats why they patch it up. Hopefully though, they'll still be looking at suggestions or feedback on what we the player are looking for.

I agree. i have a feeling the majority of problems were on PS3 and instead of pushing back launch on both platforms they decided to go ahead and launch a stable PC version first. let the first round servers begin and let us basically test the game for them.

then take beta info and fixes mixed with PC launch info and fixes and roll out a nice big patch just before PS3 launch.

Yeah your right, its so close now, I don't mind just waiting till launch.

I think we can have cata to thank for the quick release, square thinks (or at least this is my guess) that if they can get bored wow players who are waiting for cata to try xiv, they wont want to play cata at all.

I don't think squere is interested in any wow players tho :) as i see things they care more for FF fans then for a few WoW'ler who might play just until cata is out ;)... and honestly, i haven't meet anyone yet who started playing wow BEFORE ffxi and told me that FFXI is better ;) so i doubt any wow gamer will switch games even if cata launch is later then FFXIV launch ;)
