The Big Final Fantasy XIV Giveaway!
For all our newcomers, welcome to the Vault! And to all of our loyal members, thanks for all your support over the past year in building this community. We've got a couple things to celebrate around here including Vault's One Year Anniversary in June (/cheer), the recently announced Release Dates for Final Fantasy XIV and well, quite frankly, everyone likes free stuff. How about three copies of Final Fantasy XIV? Collectors Edition (PC) or PS3 version, You get to pick. Read on to find out how you could be a winner.

How the Contest Works:
Vault will be awarding three prizes. Each has a different method for determining the winner. You can take any route you choose, including all three. However, you cannot win more than one prize.



1. The MVP Award
Prize: 1 Pre-ordered Copy of Final Fantasy XIV (Collectors Edition) or PS3 version
The MVP award will be presented to the individual who demonstrates the most effort in informing the masses about the Big FFXIV Giveaway. The candidates will be primarily evaluated on effectiveness of advertising (i.e. solid ads on well-known sites would carry much more weight than spamming forums, earlier advertising carries more weight than later, etc). Creativity helps here. The whole idea is to get the word out to the MMO community about the contest in a manner that is not overly-intrusive, which in turn will expand our community to those who haven't heard of Vault.

There is no post-count requirement for this award. For evaluation, a summary of your efforts toward this goal should be submitted to myself via PM or email (admin@ffxivvault.com) by September 3rd, 2010. This summary can be done in one lump message or multiple messages. The MVP winner will be announced on Friday September 10th, 2010.

2. The Random Initiate+ Award
Prize: 1 Pre-ordered Copy of Final Fantasy XIV (Collectors Edition) or PS3 version
The Random I+ Award will be given to one random member of the Vault community who holds Initiate rank on the forums or higher by September 16th, 2010. It only takes 50 posts to reach the rank of Initiate. Once a winner has been selected, the mods will review the user's posts to make sure it's not a spam attempt to drive up post count. This one is more of a freebie, our way of showing appreciation to contributing members of the forum, even if only a little. What's the catch? You must make at least 1 post in THIS THREAD. Doing so will signify to us that you are active and would like to be entered into the drawing. The I+ winner will be announced on Friday September 17th, 2010.

3. The Random Novice+ Award
Prize: 1 Pre-ordered Copy of Final Fantasy XIV (Collectors Edition) or PS3 version
The Random N+ Award will be given to one random member of the Vault community who holds Novice rank on the forums or higher by September 16th, 2010. It takes 150 posts to reach the rank of Novice. Winners will be determined in the same manner as the I+ award. So just by making a post in this thread, if you have 150 or more posts by September 16th, you would actually be placed in the pools for both the I+ and N+ award, it's that easy. The N+ winner will be announced on Friday September 17th, 2010.

4. Mystery Prizes??
Prize: ???
Make a post in this thread to enter. Who knows what we'll come up with :)

I personally have made good friends here and want to say in lieu of the anniversary thanks to all for being such a great community. even though we dont all agree on everything its great to hear what everyone has to say and know how you see the world. what a place to come and hang out for i feel that even with our differences, we all have this place and what it stands for in common. and we are all better for it.
